Syracuse entered Wednesday's contest having lost three of its last four games.
Led by Elijah Hughes (23 points), and Joe Girard III (20), Syracuse handled Oakland on Wednesday night at home. The Orange (6-5, 1-1 Atlantic Coast) relied on the 3-ball, going 11-for-34 from deep. Oakland (5-7) out-rebounded the Orange and stayed within single digits, but couldn’t mount a comeback.
