On Saturday, Syracuse suffered the third-most lopsided loss in the Dino Babers era. Syracuse’s defense failed to stop the run against Maryland, allowing 354 rushing yards in the 63-20 blowout defeat. In all, Maryland racked up 650 yards at home. Though Tommy DeVito (330 yards, three touchdowns) showed improvements from his Week 1 performance, the Orange were outplayed from the opening kickoff and dropped to 1-1 on the season.
