As the timer finally reaches zero on the jumbotron, Marcus Mast appears as the first of the riders to emerge into the flame lit arena.
On Friday, the Professional Bull Riders Velocity Tour took on Syracuse for the first time since 2008 and 39 bull riders hoped to conquer the eight-second threshold set for the night of competition. Patrick Souza was the Syracuse Showdown winner and jumped 73 spots in the national rankings.
