Syracuse volleyball head coach Leonid Yelin has added a new coach to his staff. Madison Drescher will join as an assistant coach for the 2019 season, Syracuse Athletics announced Monday night.
As a player at Oklahoma, Drescher was a team captain in the final two seasons of her collegiate career in 2017 and 2018. She also earned Academic All-Big 12 First Team honors in all four years of her playing career.
Drescher got her first coaching experience in 2016 as the head coach of a club team, Oklahoma Elite. Her hiring at Syracuse marks Drescher’s first coaching job at the collegiate level.
“Madison will be a great role model for our student-athletes and we are very excited to have her join our staff,” Yelin said in a press release.
