No. 6 Syracuse (3-2, 1-0 Atlantic Coast) entered Saturday’s game having defeated two ranked opponents in a row. But the Orange could not make it three consecutive against No. 17 Johns Hopkins (3-2). The Blue Jays controlled the game from the outset and cruised to an 18-7 win.
