Syracuse (13-12-5, 12-4-2 College Hockey America) shut out Rochester Institute of Technology (6-24-2, 4-12-2) 2-0 on Saturday afternoon at Tennity Ice Pavilion, clinching a first-round bye in the CHA tournament.
