Every Halloween, the classic skeleton costume is a favorite among kids, college students and adults alike. But let’s face it: the look has gotten boring. This is when we turn to freshman public relations major Megan Sepulveda, who shows off a chicer way to bare some skull for class.

Sepulveda paired her edgy Wildfox Mort Skull Sweatshirt with distressed denim by One Teaspoon from Bloomingdale’s. She finished the look with Steve Madden’s ECENTRCQ quilted leather slip-on sneakers.

Sepulveda’s ensemble is bold but simple—it’s all about the graphic on the sweatshirt. The rest of the outfit complements the top without becoming overwhelming. To achieve a similar look, break out your boyfriend jeans and try out a graphic shirt. And whatever you do, don’t forget to top off the look with a skull. Bad to the bone.
