Syracuse sprinters impress in Miami Hurricane Alumni Invitational

Syracuse sprinters participated in the Miami Hurricane Alumni Invitational 0n Saturday and turned in impressive times.

Rebecca Robinson was the top collegiate finisher in the 400-meter dash, placing second with a time of 53.76. She also took eighth in the 200-meters, timing in at 24.28.

Syracuse’s Brittany Belo (57.31) followed Robinson and took 13th in the 400-meter dash. SU’s Victoria Parker also ran in the 200-meters, placing 13th with a time of 24.58.

Shaina Harrison (11.56) finished fifth in the 100-meter dash and led all collegiate runners.

SaDe Lewis turned in a top-10 performance in the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 14.12.

Freddie Crittenden (13.80) led the men in the 110-meter hurdles with a second-place finish while Donald Pollitt (sixth, 14.09) and David Gilstrap (eighth, 14.98) followed closely behind.

For the jumpers, Regine Hunter won the triple jump with a total distance of 12.66 meters.

Jabari Butler tied for third in the high jump with a height of 2.04 meters, while Reggie Morton (7.01 meters) placed eighth in the long jump.

Syracuse will return to action next weekend for the Princeton Larry Ellis Invitational.
