Syracuse followed up its season-opening win over Colgate with a 17-4 victory over Binghamton on Saturday afternoon. Griffin Cook and Brendan Curry each scored three goals to lead the Orange, while Chase Scanlan chipped in with two goals to bring his season total to nine.

Even without its best close defender Nick Mellen on defense, Syracuse held the Bearcats to just four goals on 21 shots, and cruised for the second consecutive game to open the season.
