In Syracuse's win, point guard Kiara Lewis turned the ball over five times — one less than the season-opener against Ohio.
No. 20 Syracuse (2-0) defeated Maryland Eastern Shore (0-2), 65-50, to open its season 2-0 for the third time in four year. Digna Strautmane led the Orange with 17 points as SU overcame an early deficit for the second straight game. After Emily Engstler opened the scoring with a 3-pointer, the Hawks scored the next 10 points before the Orange closed the half on a 26-10 run. From there, Syracuse built a double-digit lead it never gave back.
Here are the best shots from SU’s second consecutive home game to begin the season.
