Syracuse defeated Fordham to get to the second round of the NCAA tournament.
Coming off a win over Fordham, Syracuse and South Dakota State played a back-and-forth game. The Orange held a double-digit lead at one point, but miscues from SU and hot 3-point shooting from the Jackrabbits led the No. 6 seed to its first appearance in the Sweet 16.
