On Senior Night in the Carrier Dome, Syracuse was coming off a win against Wake Forest. Virginia came in 25-2, with its two losses coming against Duke. Despite the disparity of talent, the Orange held a 34-32 lead at half. But with only 19 second half points and the 3-point shooting — specifically Kyle Guy off passes from Ty Jerome — the Cavaliers offense picked up and blew out SU, 79-53.
