Syracuse entered the game with 20-consecutive wins over Connecticut.
No. 13 Syracuse (1-0) started the game off by losing the opening draw. After that, it was all SU. The Orange rattled off eight goals in the first eight minutes and dominated Connecticut (0-1) throughout. Emily Hawryschuk scored four goals in the first 10 minutes and Sam Swart scored three of her own.
