Syracuse bolted out to an early 20-7 lead in the game’s first eight minutes and just hung out for its second-straight victory to begin the season.
Syracuse (2-0) let Morehead State (1-2) hang around on Saturday in the Carrier Dome, but pulled away to win, 84-70. Tyus Battle bounced back from a slump to score 23 points, including 18 in the second half. He led four Syracuse players in double figures.
