Syracuse made easy work of Le Moyne on Wednesday night in the Carrier Dome, 89-52. The Orange were still without Frank Howard, Howard Washington and Jalen Carey, but Tyus Battle ran the point efficiently, racking up five assists to zero turnovers. Elijah Hughes led the Orange in scoring with 21 points, joined by Oshae Brissett’s 14, Buddy Boeheim’s 13 and Battle’s 13 in double figures. The Orange open the regular season on Tuesday, Nov. 6 against Eastern Washington.
