Syracuse (17-8, 9-3 Atlantic Coast) defeated the ACC’s worst team, Virginia (5-18, 1-11) in straight sets, 3-0, Sunday at the Women’s Building. Strong defensive play limited Virginia to just a .110 hitting percentage in the SU win and though the Cavaliers hung around in each set, SU pulled away three sets in a row to get the victory.
