Syracuse dropped one spot to No. 7 in the National Field Hockey Coaches Association rankings, released Tuesday.

The one-spot slide comes a week after Syracuse (8-2, 1-2 Atlantic Coast) dropped from No. 3 to No. 6. On Saturday, SU dropped an overtime bout to then-No. 7 North Carolina, 3-2. The Tar Heels now hold the No. 5 ranking, receiving one first place vote.

Connecticut remains undefeated and holds the top spot, and No. 2 Duke stayed put from last week. Virginia and Penn State flipped spots, with the Cavaliers jumping the Nittany Lions for the third spot.

Seven ACC teams are ranked, with five in the Top 10. Duke is the highest at No. 2, followed by UVA at No. 3 and UNC rounding out the Top 5. No. 9 Boston College is the last ACC team in the Top 10. Louisville (No. 12) and Wake Forest (No. 13) are the other two ranked ACC teams.

Syracuse next plays at No. 12 Louisville on Friday, followed by a Sunday game at J.S. Coyne Stadium against No. 16 Princeton.
