Nearly 12,000 fans packed the Carrier Dome Sunday night to see No. 21 Syracuse (18-9, 9-5 Atlantic Coast) fall just short of upsetting No. 7 Notre Dame (25-3, 13-1). Backed by All-American Brianna Turner, the Fighting Irish outscored SU by 13 points in the second half to edge out the victory.
