The Phi Kappa Theta Fraternity proudly supports Duane Ford as the next Student Association president.

An already active voice in the school, Ford’s experience as vice president of SA and familiarity with the legislative process make him the most qualified candidate. His success as public relations chair of the Interfraternity Council Executive Board provides him with the unique knowledge and experience necessary to manage a dynamic range of personalities.

We believe Ford is the best choice because he isn’t afraid to admit the challenges of the position. Holding a realistic outlook and keen insight into the needs of the students, Ford knows the best method is an honest and direct one.

His “speak up” campaign sums up his approach — he will do everything necessary to make sure the voices of the individuals are heard. He is simply a leader for the people because he cares about each member of our community. His compassion and willingness to listen to any issue, no matter how small, sets Ford apart from the other candidates.

Ford recognizes the challenges that come with change. His ability to mediate common ground and hone in on the core issues facing the student body speak to his candid desire to actually accomplish community-based goals. A policy studies major, he understands the inner workings of the university. Ford knows the proper channels to follow in order to start the conversation with university superiors, including the chancellor and the dean.

Someone who is honest, pragmatic and in touch with the needs of the student body as a whole is the most we can ask for in an SA president.
